Amendments to the sanctions regime
Amendments to the sanctions regime have recently been implemented:
Interim Sanction Decree Priority Sanction Regimes (AB2024 no.17):
- Inclusion of a humanitarian exemption.
- Amendment to Annex I to include Sudan and Niger
Decree to amend the Sanction Decree Cyber Attacks (AB2024 no.18):
- Inclusion of a humanitarian exemption.
- Amendments to the Sanction Decree Human Rights Violations and the Sanction Decree Chemical Weapons.
Decree to withdraw Sanction Decree Iran (AB2024 no.9):
- Aruba implemented UNSCR 2231 (2015) with the implementation of the Sanction Decree Iran (AB2021 no.141).
- The restrictive measures of UNSCR 2231 have been lifted and, therefore, the Sanction Decree Iran is withdrawn.
- The EU continues to maintain certain EU sanctions with respect to Iran.
- Consequently, the restrictive measures against Iran as provided in the Interim Sanction Decree Priority Sanction Regimes (AB2019 no.47) remain in effect.
